IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR MOTHER

Maria Delia Pina Baeza

March 25, 1942 - March 7, 2026

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved mother, Maria Delia Pina Baeza, who passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at her home in Arvin, California, at the age of 83.

Our mother was born on March 25, 1942, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Manuel Pina and Manuela Bustamante. She was the youngest of nine children and grew up in a large family where faith, strength, sacrifice, and love for one another were deeply valued.

Maria Delia and Ruben Prieto Baeza had five children: Ruben P. Baeza Jr., Rene Baeza, Raul Baeza, Rolando Baeza, and Rosalinda Baeza. Her beloved son Rolando passed away on February 2, 1990. The loss of a child is something a mother never forgets, and Rolando remained forever in her heart.

Our mother was the backbone of our family.

She dedicated her life to her children and spent most of her years as a homemaker, caring for her family and making sure her children had what they needed. Her life was one of sacrifice, devotion, strength, and unconditional love.

She was there through the good times and the difficult times. She carried the burdens of her family, prayed for her children, worried about them, encouraged them, and loved them with a mother's love that could never be replaced.

Our mother's Catholic faith was at the center of her life. She was a devoted Catholic who prayed fervently to our Lord Jesus Christ. Through every trial she faced, she held firmly to her faith. Prayer gave her strength, comfort, and hope, and her faith became part of the spiritual foundation she passed on to her family.

But our mother also knew how to enjoy life.

She loved music, and she loved to dance.

Music was often playing in her home, and it brought her great happiness. One of the memories that will forever remain especially precious is hearing Mom ask her eldest son, Ruben Baeza Jr., to dance with her.

Those moments were simple, but they meant everything.

A song would play, Mom would want to dance, and for those few moments there was nothing but music, happiness, laughter, and the love between a mother and her son. Those are memories that time can never take away.

Maria Delia was much more than our mother. She was our strength, our foundation, and the heart that helped hold our family together.

Her hands cared for us.

Her prayers protected us.

Her sacrifices provided for us.

Her faith inspired us.

And her love helped make us who we are today.

Although our hearts are deeply saddened by her passing, we give thanks for the years God gave her on this earth and for every memory we were blessed to share with her.

We find comfort in believing that the Lord to whom she prayed so faithfully throughout her life has now welcomed her into His eternal presence.

Mom, there will never be another you.

We will miss your voice.

We will miss your prayers.

We will miss hearing your music.

We will miss seeing you dance.

We will miss your strength and your presence in our family.

But most of all, we will miss you.

Your love will continue to live within each of us, and the lessons, faith, strength, and memories you gave us will be carried forward through our family for generations to come.

At our mother's request, we will honor her final wishes with a private funeral service, where her family will gather together to celebrate her life, mourn her passing, pray for her, and lovingly say our final goodbye.

Rest in eternal peace, Mom.

Until we meet again, may God hold you in His loving arms.

You will forever live in our hearts.

May her memory always be a blessing.
